Purchased Ticket Portal Opens- Registered graduands can purchase up to one additional ticket

The booking site will re-open during week commencing 13 November - you will be emailed to let you know when the site is open. 

You must book your additonal tickets by 11.59pm (GMT) Friday 24 November.

E-tickets are sent to registered graduands

Week commencing 4 December.

Please note E-tickets will be sent to the email address you entered on the Ede and Ravenscroft website at time of booking.

Before the day

  1. Confirm your attendance

    You need to tell us that you’re going to attend your graduation ceremony via our online booking site by Friday 10 November. When the booking site is opened we will email all our graduates. 

  2. Order your gown

    You’ll need to hire your gown online via the Ede & Ravenscroft gown hire booking site. 

  3. Book tickets

    You must confirm your attendance and book your complimentary guest tickets by 12pm on Friday 10 November. All tickets are issued on a first come first served basis.

  4. Clear all your debts with the University 

    You can’t take part in the graduation ceremonies if you have any outstanding academic debt to the University.

  5. Arrange travel and book accommodation

    Make sure you know how you and your guests are going to get to graduation on the day. If you are driving to campus, please download, print and display our Parking Permit before arriving. We have accommodation available if you'd like to stay on campus at special graduation rates.

On the day

  1. Arrive in plenty of time

    You should arrive at least one hour before the start of your ceremony to give you time to register, collect your gown and take some graduation photos. If you are driving to campus, please download, print and display our Parking Permit before arriving.

  2. Register

    When you arrive you’ll need to go to the Windsor Building and register. Please remember to bring photo ID with you. You will then receive your red card - this is important so don’t lose it!

  3. Tickets

    If you have booked guest tickets these will be sent to you via email week commencing 4 December. Please send your guests their tickets in advance. Remember to keep a hold of your red registration card.

  4. Collect your gown

    Gown collection will take place in Windsor 102/103. You can collect your gown 90 minutes before the ceremony. 

  5. Know where you need to be

    Make sure that you and your guests know where you need to go and what time you need to be there. There will be maps located around campus and members of staff on hand to answer any queries. What to expect on the day. 

  6. Get into position

    Make sure that your guests head to the Windsor Auditorium and that you’re in the asembly room (Windsor 002/003) no later than 30 minutes before the start of your ceremony.

  7. Graduate!

 

Departmental photos and receptions 

Departmental photos and receptions will take place directly after your ceremony. Please listen to staff for further instrcutions on the day.

Important things you need to know

Eligibility

PGR Students

Receiving an invitation to attend the next graduation ceremony from the Graduation team does not make you eligible automatically. You can book your attendance / gown, but please do not make travel arrangements until both your corrections have been approved by your examiner(s) and your award has been officially confirmed to you by the Doctoral School.

University Debt 

You must have cleared any academic debts with the College or University of London (such as tuition fees) or you’ll not be able to take part in graduation. 

Attendance and tickets

You must confirm your attendance and book any guest tickets online.

Our student registration and ticket booking website will open week commencing 2 October. You’ll be able to confirm your attendance, hire your gown and book guest tickets. Tickets are not automatically allocated to students; you must reserve these online.

Complimentary tickets must be taken up before noon November 10

Please ensure that you have confirmed your attendance, booked your guest tickets and gown hire. 

Accessibility arrangements

As part of the registration and booking process, you’ll be asked to confirm whether any of your guests have additional access needs. You’ll be contacted before graduation to discuss these needs so that we can reserve appropriate seating for your guests.

Disabled parking is provided on campus. You will be sent a permit ahead of the ceremonies if you told us you have access requirements when booking; please contact us if you still need to recieve a disabled permit. Please display it on your dashboard when arriving on campus to help our parking team direct you to our car parks.

Degree Certificates

You won't receive your degree certificate during the ceremony. These are produced by the Diploma Production Office in London and will be posted to the forwarding address we have on record for you. Due to the large number of certificates that need to be produced, it can take between three to six months for you to receive your certificate.

Please make sure you update your forwarding address on the Personal details tab on Campus Connect.

 
Accommodation

If you would like to stay on campus with your guests we have accommodation available at the Hub. You can benefit from a 10% discount by booking through this link.

Photography and Merchandise

Photography, merchanise, and flowers will be available in the EWD building. Find out more information here.

Animals

With the exception of guide dogs and hearing dogs, we discourage guests from bringing animals on to the campus.
