Max Ross, Interim Joint Chief Executive Officer of Royal Holloway Students’ Union explains:

“Alongside the return of our standard events programme this autumn, the Students’ Union is hosting three outdoor events through the first week of term including our annual Fresher's Ball on Saturday 25 September - the other two events will take place on Wednesday 22 and Friday 24 September.

“Each event will feature outdoor music performances and be located within the South Quad of Founder’s Building – a location that helps to reduce the risk of disturbance to those in the local area. The Ball is due to commence at 8pm with the main stage closing at 2am, the other two events start at 10pm and close at 2am.

“The Students’ Union is liaising with Runnymede Borough Council, and together will endeavour to ensure any noise disturbance is kept to a minimum. They will be conducting regular sound monitoring visits throughout the local area over the course of the week and liaising with the environmental health team to minimise the impact on the local community."
