Interim Transcripts


Are you still studying and need a copy of your results for your current programme? You can download copy of your Interim Transcript through Campus Connect. 

What is an Interim Transcript of Results?

An Interim Transcript of Results is a formal statement of your academic achievements for your current programme. The document includes the College logo, stamp and confirms:

  • Your course registrations for the current academic year
  • The overall percentage mark achieved in each module for any academic years you’ve already completed as part of your current programme.
  • The start and expected end date for your current programme

How to download your Interim Transcript

If you’re a current student, and would like a formal copy of your results achieved so far, you can download your Interim Transcript from the ‘My Studies’ tab of your Campus Connect account. It’s that simple!

To view and print this document:

  1. Log on to Campus Connect
  2. Click on the the ‘My Studies’ tab
  3. Click on ‘Interim transcript’
  4. Click ‘download’
  5. If you need to print the document, make sure you use a colour printer.

Eligibility

Can I get an Interim Transcript?

If you are a current student who is fully enrolled, then you will be able to receive a copy of your Interim Transcript. This includes students who have interrupted, are on a Year Abroad or on a Year in Industry.

Who is not eligible?

If you are not fully enrolled, you are not eligible for this document. This means that you’ll be unable to download an Interim Transcript from Campus Connect and we will be unable to produce an Interim Transcript for you until any outstanding enrolment steps are completed.

The Interim Transcript is available to current Royal Holloway students, meaning that if you are a former student or a student who has reached the expected end date of their course, you are not eligible for this document. Your expected end date for your programme of study is located on the front of your College Card. 

If you are Postgraduate Research student who has no taught elements to your degree, you will also not be able to access this document.

If you started a postgraduate taught course in January 2021 or January 2022 you won't have access to the downloadable version of the interim transcript. If you need this document, which confirms your module registrations, please request it via email to: studentservices@royalholloway.ac.uk 

Accessing the Interim Transcript via Campus Connect

Why can't I download my Interim Transcript?

To download the document, you must be fully enrolled for this academic year. This includes payment of tuition fees and completing online sign-up. If you're a new student, you'll also need to complete an identity check. Please visit our enrolment pages for more information.

If you are a final year undergraduate student and have reached your expected end date, you will no longer be able to download or request an Interim Transcript. Final year Postgraduate taught students (September starters) will also no longer be able to download or request an Interim Transcript from 31 August.

I can't access my Interim Transcript on Campus Connect, how can I request one?

If you cannot download you Interim Transcript and have completed all stages of the enrolment process, please contact the Student Services Centre about obtaining an Interim Transcript.

I'm getting a message saying that 'the service is currently unavailable', what does this mean?

At some points throughout the year, you’ll see a message that says the ‘service is currently unavailable’. During this time, you’ll temporarily be unable to download your Interim Transcript, because results for the current academic year are being finalised.

If you’re a continuing student (returning in the next academic year on the same programme) you’ll be able to access this again once your results have been released for the current year. 

If you're a final year undergraduate student and have reached your expected end date, you will no longer be able to access or request an Interim Transcript. Final year Postgraduate taught students (September starters) will also no longer be able to download or request an Interim Transcript from 31 August.

Why am I not eligible to view my Interim Transcript?

Some students aren’t eligible to view the Interim Transcript. This may be applicable if you don’t have any taught modules in your programme of study. This can include those on Postgraduate Research programmes, CAPITAL and inSTIL, some Social Work programmes as well certain Information Security programmes and Kaplan courses.

If you’re a final year undergraduate student and you’ve received confirmation of your final results, you’ll no longer be able to download this document. Final year Postgraduate taught students (September starters) will also no longer be able to view (or request) an Interim Transcript from 31 August. If you think you should be able to download the document but can’t see this on Campus Connect, please contact the Student Services Centre.

I am currently on interrupted studies or on a Study abroad year or on a year in industry and require my Interim Transcript.

If you're currently in a period of interruption, on a study abroad year or on a year in industry, you won't be able to download your Interim Transcript from Campus Connect.

If you require an Interim Transcript, please contact the Student Services Centre and we can manually produce and send your Interim Transcript to you.

About the Interim Transcript

I have already had some results for coursework or exams I have taken, why aren’t these on my Interim Transcript?

Any grades, results or marks you have received for individual coursework, assignments, quizzes or exams prior to the end of the academic year are unofficial and will not be displayed on your Interim Transcript until they are ratified and confirmed by the Board of Examiners and officially released to you via Campus Connect in the summer.

If you’re a continuing student, you’ll be able to see an updated version of your Interim Transcript with all your marks to date once your results have been released.

If you are a final year undergraduate student, you’ll lose access to this document once you reach your expected end date, meaning that you will not be able to obtain an Interim Transcript containing your final year marks. Final year Postgraduate taught students (September starters) will also no longer be able to download or request an Interim Transcript from 31 August. Why does my Interim Transcript say ‘In progress’ for my current year marks?

Marks for the current academic year will not show until they have been formally ratified by the Board of Examiners at the end of the academic year and will show as ‘in progress’ next to each course for that academic year.

If you are a final year student looking to apply for further study, please be assured that this document is widley accepted by other institutions. Once you have reached your expected end date and before the release of your results, you can request a Results Pending Letter, if you require further documentation to provide to a third party.

I think there is an error on my transcript, what do I do?

If the error is in relation to your personal information for example your name or date of birth, please contact the Student Services Centre, so that we can advise further.

If the error is in relation to your academic information for example your courses, marks or result, please contact your School Helpdesk in the first instance. The contact information for School Helpdesks can be found here.

Can you remove marks, courses or other information from my Interim Transcript?

No, we cannot remove marks, grades, results or other personal or academic information as your Interim Transcript must be a complete and accurate record of your results to date. This includes information for courses you might have failed, any courses you have repeated or resit as well as any courses you may have taken prior to a change of degree programme or pathway.

Can I get an Interim Transcript for my previous programme of study?

No, the Interim Transcript is only available for your current programme of study. If you've previously studied at Royal Holloway and require a transcript for your previous degree, please visit our Proof of Award and results webpage.

Additional Services

Can you address an Interim Transcript to a specific person or organisation such as another university or an embassy?

We are not able to edit the Interim Transcript to add an address. If you need to issue your Interim Transcript to a specific person or organisation, you can provide them with your document and they can follow the verification process at the bottom of the document, scan us the document you have provided and we will confirm its authenticity. 

I need an Interim Transcript with an original signature/stamp

Subject to you sending the proof of the requirement for an original signature / stamp, we can provide this service. The document will take up to 5 working days to produce and we would then schedule an appointment for you to collect your document in the Student Services Centre. 

Can you put my Interim Transcript into a Signed and Sealed Envelope?

Subject to you sending the proof of the requirement for us to send your Interim Transcript in a signed and sealed envelope, we can provide this service. Please allow 5 working days for us to produce your document. 

 

Can you add the name and title of the person signing the document?

No, we cannot add the name and title of the person signing the document. If the third party wishes to verify the authenticity of the document they can do so by sending a copy to the Student Services Centre.

Can you provide an explanation of the marks and credits?

Your Interim Transcript will have a supplementary page which contains an explanation of UK credits, the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System, the pass mark criteria for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as well as a key to explain what the results mean.

Level of study specific information

Interim Transcripts for First Year Students

If you’re a first year student, you’ll gain access to your Interim Transcript once you’ve completed all stages of enrolment and your course registrations have been confirmed for the academic year.

In your first year of study, only your courses will be shown on your Interim Transcript and you’ll not have any marks displayed until results are released in the summer.

After results are released at the end of term 3, your Interim Transcript will update to reflect the marks you gained for each course you studied over the past year.

At the start of each new academic year you will need to have completed College enrolment to have access to the document for the new academic year.

Interim Transcript for Final Year students

As a final year student, your Interim Transcript will show the marks you gained in previous years of study as well as your current module registrations for the current academic year. The Interim Transcript won’t show any marks for your current academic year and all modules will show as 'in progress.' For Postgraduate taught students it may display mid-term results that have already been released.

Your Interim Transcript will never show your final year results or your full results including your dissertation. If you are a postgraduate taught student you will lose access to this document before your final results are released.
