Welcome to the Department of Electronic Engineering

As a field, electronic engineering is at the heart of daily lives, from mobile communications to computers, transport systems, TV, radio, music and gaming. Studying a postgraduate electronic engineering degree with us will give you the skills and knowledge to contribute towards tackling the emerging challenges of the global business environment.

As Royal Holloway's youngest department, we have a new £20m state-of-the-art building to house our growing community and range of degrees in electronic engineering, alongside research groups in related subjects. We place an emphasis on creativity at the heart of all great engineering inventions and this feeds into our postgraduate courses, led by staff who are experts in their fields. New for 2023, we are developing four masters programmes that directly align with research expertise and collaborations in the department, taught from our Egham campus - please see list below. We also offer an MSc by Research in Electronic Engineering.

Our range of Project Management masters are taught from our central London campus in Bloomsbury, Royal Holloway London Graduate School. The MSc Engineering Management addresses current and emerging project management issues and the principles that underpin effective business strategies and outcomes, with an emphasis on scientific and engineering advances. The MSc Project Management is a one-year postgraduate taught degree suitable for graduates from a range of backgrounds, combining practical tools and skills, together with the academic theories that underpin them.
