  • Time 4.30pm - 6.30pm
  • Category Seminar

CRIS, in collaboration with ETHOS at City Business School, is pleased to share with you our first event for 2021.

Thank you to all those who attended the event, we hope you found it to be an informative and thought-provoking session. A recording of the workshop can be found on the CRIS YouTube playlist.
Following global protests, issues of race and the legacy of colonialism are more pressing than ever. Universities around the world have been asked “How can they decolonise their curriculum”.

In this virtual workshop, we will explore what it means to decolonize the business school curriculum? We will work together to start the practical work of decolonising the curriculum. Small groups of people from around the world will work on designing decolonised curriculum for courses typically taught in business schools. These will include: international business, entrepreneurship, human resource management, leadership, consumer behaviour, social marketing, branding and corporate social responsibility.

The workshop will be useful for people teaching in business schools. It will give participants an opportunity to start making practical change in what we teach in business schools around the world

Panellists include our very own Nceku Nyathi (Royal Holloway University of London), Dara Kelly (Simon Fraser University), Stella Nkomo (University of Pretoria), Rohit Varman (University of Birmingham) and a number of break out room facilitators from around the world.
