Dr Ulla Blumenschein (Queen Mary University of London)

The associated production of W and Z bosons with hadronic jets is one one of the most important background processes at the LHC but poses a challenge to generator modelling, in particular for energetic processes,  due to higher pQCD and Electroweak corrections.  The seminar presents recent measurements of the V+jets cross sections for high-energetic events and compares with state-of-the-art generator modelling  and fixed-order calculations.
