We apologise for the any inconvenience caused by the current works on campus.  These works are all essential to upgrade our historic estate.

What’s new?

Mon 16 Oct restricted access near Bedford Building: Pedestrian access Bedford & McCrae restricted 

  • Lifting equipment and a fork lift truck will be operating in the area between Bedford & McCrae on Monday lifting equipment into Bedford
  • The area will be closed to pedestrian and vehicle access for periods in the day. 

Wed 18 Oct Davison Building closed:  Davison Building Royal opening means building closures and restricted access 

  • 9am to 4.30pm the main building will be closed including Library, Student Services Centre, Careers & Employability and Café on the Square
  • Visit the intranet for alternative study space and how to get support on the day

Wed 18 Oct Founder’s West maintenance work:  No hot water from 9am to 4pm

  • Planned maintenance work means that there will be no hot water available in Founder’s West on Wednesday from 9am to 4pm. 

What’s continuing?

Campus road works:  Roadworks on the Pedestrian Priory Zone throughout October 

  • Work on the pedestrian priority zone, outside the computer centre and between Arts and the Davidson buildings, continues.   

Founder’s main entrance:  Minor works continue 

  • The ramps and entrance will be fully accessible while some minor works are carried out over the next week. 

Delays likely: Runnymede Roundabout works until March 2018 

  • Surrey County Council have started works on Runnymede Roundabout to improve traffic management and the efficiency of vehicle flows as well as making it easier for pedestrians and cyclists to safely navigate the roundabout. 
  • These works are highly likely to cause delay to routes via the roundabout and in the surrounding areas.

Science building updates

If you would like to know more about the construction of the new Science building come and meet the contractor.  The next monthly meet is on the 24 October @ 9.30 in the Hub restaurant.
