On Wednesday 18 October, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, Chancellor of the University of London formally opened the Emily Wilding Davison Building.

At the opening, students from our Community Action volunteering scheme were presented with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. The achievement recognises their work in helping build strong communities by inspiring students to volunteer and lead projects to support local organisations.

The library within the new Emily Wilding Davison Building is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 350 days per year and has an extensive collection of over 400,000 books, along with over 500,000 e-books and e-journals. Study spaces range from collaborative areas to individual study pods and group study rooms. There is also dedicated study space for postgraduate research students.
