Dr Adrian Wallbank

Hi, I'm Adrian, and I've been teaching at Royal Holloway since 2015, having previously taught English and academic writing at the University of Warwick. My background and research interests are in romanticism and English literature, philosophy, academic writing, dyslexia and Higher Education. Before joining the Integrated Foundation Year team, I worked across all areas within the Centre for the Development of Academic Skills.

I'm passionate about helping students succeed and fulfil their full academic potential. I'm especially interested in helping students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) excel in their studies and helping students with their writing and academic skills to grow in confidence. Outside of work, I pursue my research interests, grow plants in my garden, and restore, fire, and drive steam locomotives.
