Information

Students explore the range of options available to them after school and beyond to possible futures at university.

Duration: 45 - 60 minutes
Delivered by: Royal Holloway staff
Student outcomes:
  1. Understand post-16 pathways and the specific opportunities available in Higher Education
  2. Belief in own ability to progress to Higher Education/other post-18 pathways
  3. Confidence to navigate post-18 pathways by making considered decisions

Aspiration

Find out what makes university different from school, meet current university students and discover the wide range of fascinating courses available to study. 

Duration: 1 hour session | Can be offered as part of a full day with subject tasters and a campus tour
Delivered by: Royal Holloway staff and current undergraduate students
Student outcomes: 
  1. Understand the value of a degree in all terms (intellectual, cultural, financial, etc.)
  2. Know about the academic, financial and pastoral support available within universities
  3. Confidence in the personal benefits attending university can bring them

Living by yourself, making your own food, setting your own timetable: university students are very independent. Follow a day in the life of a current university student and find out what the university experience is really like. 

Duration: 1 hour session | Can be offered as part of a full day with subject tasters and a campus tour
Delivered by: Royal Holloway staff and current undergraduate students
Student outcomes:
  1. Understand the value of a degree in all terms (intellectual, cultural, financial, etc.)

We can organise visits to campus that include meetings current students, exploring the campus facilities and taking part in engaging information and subject taster activities. Due to current circumstances please contact us to discuss options.

Duration: Half or full day. Typically 10:00 - 14:30
Delivered by: Royal Holloway staff and Student Ambassadors
Student outcomes:
  1. Understand the value of a degree in all terms (intellectual, cultural, financial, etc.)
  2. Greater depth and breadth of subject knowledge. Greater subject interest
  3. Belief in own ability to progress to Higher Education/other post-18 pathways
  4. Confidence in own subject knowledge and ability to study it at a university level
  5. Commitment to education, learning and development
