Build CVstac skills on your course

Build CVstac skills on your course

You'll develop meta-skills on your course to build your CVstac.

Over the course of your undergraduate degree, you'll have many opportunities and experiences to build and refine your CVstac.

On your course
Royal Holloway's approach to learning and teaching is designed to help you develop as many meta-skills as possible to build your CVstac. Through group work, you will develop and enhance your capacity for collaborating, feeling and leading. Through essays and laborataries, you may deepen your curiosity and critical thinking. Each activity is linked to at least one skill and we will support you to identify what they are, and help you to actively assess how they are helping you build your employability.

Through department activities
Outside the lecture theatre and labs, your department will provide other opportunities to develop meta-skills. You'll also have access to:

  • Dragons' Den competitions
Dragons' Den competitions are a great way to build your CVstac and enhance your employability whilst you're a student at Royal Holloway. They allow you to showcase your skills to members of industry and win great prizes. These annual competitions are an exciting time for many students who relish the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity and skill, build confidence, and meet top members of their field. • Peer to peer mentoring from alumni and students on the same course
As a new student, you'll have access to a peer guide - an existing student - who'll be able to show you the ropes in your first few weeks. But you'll also have the opportunity to become a peer guide and this is a great way to develop a host of important meta-skills and build your CVstac.
