If you would like to make a provision in your will or trust bequeathing money to the university, please consult a professional advisor for guidance. We are not permitted to offer tax or legal advice but can share a sample wording:

I give, devise and bequeath the sum of $XXX or xxx% of the residue of my estate to British Schools & Universities Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization with federal tax identification number 13-616-1189 to be used by the Foundation to support Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, which has full charitable status in England with Tax exempt reference number XN69536 for such purposes as Royal Holloway and Bedford New College deems appropriate [or for a specific project]. If British Schools & Universities Foundation is not in existence or is not a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization at the time of my death, then I leave such bequest to Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, which has full charitable status in England with Tax exempt reference number XN69536 to be used as it deems appropriate [or could be a specific project].

If you would like to set up charitable remainder trusts, please designate it to British Schools and Universities Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization with federal tax identification number 13-616-1189 clearly stating the preference for the funds to go to Royal Holloway, University of London.
