Are you interested in interdisciplinary research that combines astronomy, condensed-matter theory, nuclear physics and machine learning? Then come and join us in the Astronomy group at Royal Holloway.
Dr Vanessa Graber, a leading figure in neutron star research and recipient of the prestigious UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship, joined the Department of Physics at Royal Holloway in October 2024. Dr Graber will spearhead a groundbreaking project exploring the properties of matter in extreme environments using data from leading radio observatories, including the Square Kilometre Array (SKA), and advancements in Artificial Intelligence.
As part of this endeavour, Dr Graber is recruiting two postdoctoral researchers to join her interdisciplinary team of astronomers, condensed-matter physicists, and machine-learning specialists. This new research group will contribute to unlocking the mysteries of neutron stars and advance the UK’s scientific contributions to the SKA.
Applications for these exciting positions are now open. More details can be found at https://jobs.royalholloway.ac.uk/vacancy.aspx?ref=1224-363 and https://jobs.royalholloway.ac.uk/vacancy.aspx?ref=1224-362.
