Engineering Management at London

Our Engineering Management masters degrees are a great way to enhance your career in one year - taught from our well-equipped Central London campus.

Located in the heart of Bloomsbury, central London, we have our historic base at 11 Bedford Square as well as a dedicated suite in the University of London's impressive headquarters, Senate House, opposite the British Museum. We also have exclusive use of modern teaching spaces in nearby Stewart House. These three buildings, just a few minutes apart, provide an inspiring and vibrant environment to stimulate creative and critical thinking.

The MSc Engineering Management is designed to meet the growing global demand for postgraduate engineers and scientists with management expertise and capabilities to address complex and changing organisations. The MSc Engineering Management with Cyber Security  enables you to explore engineering management issues and address challenges with advanced skills to meet the growing demand from multi-sector organisations seeking a software and digital project management skills set.

There is a growing global demand for graduates with specialist cyber security projects expertise and capabilities to address the emerging threats to digital and information security sectors. This course develops your knowledge and skillset to plan, design, and deliver software management projects on time and on budget.  It also has strategic focus on developing multi and intra disciplinary characteristics of modern digital and cyber security project-based environments. You will graduate with an understanding of a broad range of cyber security and digital threats and its relation to project practices in industry.

The MSc Project Management provides graduates with the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools to become competent Project Managers, a growing area of importance throughout business, industry and government today. While many project management programmes seek to train students on single framework of project management, our programme offers the opportunity to understand a broad range of different frameworks and its core relation to different industry sectors

As the changing landscape and global demand for Project Managers continues to grow, our Project Management degree opens the possibilities of multiple routes of employment, re-deployment and advancing existing employment opportunities. Graduates of this programme enter a wide-variety of industries and professions, where demand for employees with project management expertise and capabilities to address the complex and changing organisations is high.

This new MSc provides a varied and flexible curriculum informed by innovative research and current industrial needs with numerous optional modules so that the course can be tailored to suit your career aspirations. You will have the opportunity to integrate software, hardware, electronic and electrical engineering systems; design and implement programable system on chip platforms; and specialize in sustainable power generation to meet future carbon neutral targets.

This new MSc has a focus on biomedical engineering fundamentals to healthcare practice, ranging from biomedical engineering, to embedded electronic systems, to machine learning. Using open-source tools for biosensing and neuroscience, you will work in a creative space with the aim of making brain-computer interfacing and other biosensors more accessible for rapid prototyping and quicker delivery of products in the consumer landscape.

This new MSc focuses on the usage of fibre optics and RoF communications in 5G/6G and beyond, as well as in areas such as space and defence. Microwave and optical fibre communication systems enable high-speed communication, used in our everyday life from high-speed home-based internet, smart mobile phones, machine-to-machine communication systems, and ‘Everything Connected’. At Royal Holloway, we are one of the few institutions in the UK with the skills and resources to provide hands-on experience in this area. You’ll join an active, research-focused, postgraduate-only community; a unique microwave photonics and sensors research group.
