Say yes to your ambitions with an Integrated Foundation Year course at Royal Holloway. If you’d like to join a top-tier university and want some extra support to make the transition, then one of these dedicated courses could be for you.

Why study one of our integrated Foundation Years?

Have you ever felt like university isn’t for you? Perhaps you’re worried that you may not get the grades you’re hoping for? That’s where our Integrated Foundation Year comes in.

We firmly believe that university is for you, that it can be and should be for anyone who has a drive and ambition to learn. Our courses will provide you with an amazing first step on your university journey, packed full of skills to empower you and build your confidence in academic studies at university-level. You’ll join a friendly and welcoming community of staff and students, passionate about learning and about helping you fulfil your ambitions. The courses are available to Home students and students from the EU who meet the English Language requirements.

What kind of support is offered on the course?

Our highly-qualified staff are at the heart of what we do, and their expertise will be your guide throughout your journey. You’ll benefit from small group sessions to build your confidence in class, as well as a personal tutor who’ll be on hand to discuss any challenges as well as your triumphs.

Many of our staff have studied Foundation Years themselves, and so have been in your shoes and can really support your development – both personally and academically. We’ve also built in opportunities to help enhance your employability – after all, once your fantastic university experience is over, we want you go out into the world and progress into your dream career.

What will my campus experience be like?

We treat all our students equally, and your campus experience whilst studying the Integrated Foundation Year will be as exciting and packed full of opportunities as that of any other student from any other degree. You’ll have full access to all of our services and facilities – both academic and social – ensuring you can enjoy the absolute best that Royal Holloway has to offer, right from the moment you enrol. Sports, clubs and societies will all be there for you to explore and be part of, and by the time you join the first year of your full degree course, we’re confident you’ll be feeling right at home!

As a student starting the Integrated Foundation Year with us in 2022, you will have guaranteed accommodation under the same terms as other new undergraduates, for both the academic year 2022 and for 2023.
