Exam (80%) (2 hours)
Coursework(20%) (4 x hand-in translations and 2 in-class translations)
Overview:
This course offers students the opportunity to enhance their understanding of the grammar, structures and nuances of both French and English, as well as their competence in close reading, through the specific practice of translation. At the same time, it will identify some of the key difficulties involved and some of the strategies developed to deal with these.
