Dr Niina Manninen is a lecturer and the BSc Health and Social Care course lead at Royal Holloway University of London and is engaged in research around existential wellbeing and value clarity in helping professions, and intersect moral sciences, psychology, social sciences, theology, and education.

Dr Niina Manninen, Lecturer in Social Care, presented her paper titled: Promoting Socially Sustainable Development in Micro and Macro Level Social Contexts – Bridging the Gap between “Is” and “Ought” in New York, US on 24.10.2024. Association for Moral Education is an interdisciplinary and international association with a disciplinary focus on moral sciences, moral philosophy, developmental psychology and educational sciences to name a few. During this conference, Niina had the honour of meeting Professor William Damon, whose seminal work on Youth Development and Purpose in Life at Stanford University served as a foundation for her PhD work and has inspired many scholars around the world.
