SAS Digital Challenge

Student success at the 2019 SAS Digital Challenge

  • Date15 April 2019

Some of our students took part in the 2019 SAS Digital Challenge in March – SAS are a corporate organisation providing analytics, business intelligence and data management solutions. We're proud to say we had students in all three of the winning teams on the day!

The Digital Challenge involved working in teams with students from other institutions (University of Kent, Regents College and the University of Hertfordshire) on a business challenge in the insurance domain, with the solutions being judged by senior people from SAS, Royal Sun Alliance (More Than) and Liverpool Victoria (LV).

The prize for the top three teams was the chance to present their solution at the SAS Forum 2019, a major gathering of commercial SAS users (the top team presenting on the main stage, the others on a stand at the event).

Our students were present in all three of the top teams - and we want to say huge congratulations to:

  • Chao, Elizaveta, Kwing and Matthew - Digital Innovation and Analytics students who won 1st place.
  • Anmol, Tatchawat and Yijie - Business Information Systems and Digital Innovation and Analytics students who won 2nd place.
  • Sumrriddhi and Yujie - Digital Innovation and Analytics students who won 3rd place.
