Royal Holloway Teaching Prizes aim to raise the profile of teaching and to underline the University’s commitment to reaching excellence by recognising initiatives which have had a beneficial impact on student learning. The awards also aim to share good practice by publicising initiatives which have the scope to influence support for student learning more generally.

To receive his award, Dr Reddington was invited to present to colleagues at the Royal Holloway Education Conference 2024 which took place last month. He is pictured giving the presentation.

Dr Reddington commented: “A fundamental part of my teaching philosophy is that students thrive in an engaging and supportive environment. By incorporating games like bingo to foster a high-engagement culture and improving attendance tracking through with CASPER, I aim to create a more inclusive and effective learning experience. It's incredibly rewarding to see these interventions recognized, and I hope they inspire others to explore creative solutions in education.”

If you are interested in learning more, Dr Reddington has blogged about his interventions Bingo and CASPER at his personal website.
