Professor Christopher Frost will be joining us at Royal Holloway as Executive Dean of the School of Engineering, Physical and Mathematical Sciences on Monday 2 September 2024.

Chris will be joining us from King’s College London (KCL), where he is currently the Vice-Dean Research and Professor of Organic Chemistry in the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical and Engineering Science (NMES).

In his current role at KCL, Chris has extensive knowledge in and providing strategic leadership for the academic research carried out across the five departments within NMES, including responsibility for research performance and outcomes, promoting an inclusive research culture, a thriving post-graduate research community, world class research and innovation infrastructure and furthering the interdisciplinary research across the faculty and university. He has also been involved in pan-institutional work intersecting with questions of student belonging and experience.

His career to date has developed him as a collaborative leader, and a strong advocate for creating a culture of talent development. Previously, Christopher has been the Deputy Dean and Head of Department for the Department of Chemistry at the University of Bath.
