Executive Dean of the School of Engineering, Physical and Mathematical Sciences appointed

Professor Christopher Frost has been appointed as Executive Dean of the School of Engineering, Physical and Mathematical Sciences and will join Royal Holloway on Monday 2 September 2024.

Professor Frost is currently the Vice-Dean Research and Professor of Organic Chemistry in the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical and Engineering Science (NMES) at King’s College London (KCL).

In his current role at KCL, Professor Frost has demonstrated his extensive knowledge and ability to provide strategic leadership for the academic research carried out across the five departments within NMES.

This has included responsibility for research performance and outcomes, promoting an inclusive research culture, a thriving post-graduate research community, world class research and innovation infrastructure and furthering the interdisciplinary research across the faculty and university. Professor Frost has also been involved in pan-institutional work, intersecting with questions of student belonging and experience.

Professor Frost’s career to date has developed him as a collaborative leader, and a strong advocate for creating a culture of talent development. Previously, he has been the Deputy Dean and Head of Department for the Department of Chemistry at the University of Bath.
