AI @ Royal Holloway

AI @ Royal Holloway

Royal Holloway’s School of Engineering, Physical and Mathematical Sciences invites alumni to a half-day showcase of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and drone research.

AI is one of the most exciting and rapidly developing aspects of technology. It pervades our everyday lives, and its potential is vast. This half-day workshop will celebrate Royal Holloway's world-leading AI research covering topics from High Stakes AI, AI in Science, AI in the creative sector and AI of autonomous vehicles.

We will also hear a guest talk titled ‘Aligning Large Language Models: Techniques, Challenges, and the Future’ from Dr Yang Gao, Google Deep Mind. A former Lecturer in Computer Science at Royal Holloway, Yang’s talk will explore why it's important to align language models, what are the popular alignment techniques and their effectiveness and vulnerabilities, and some future directions to explore.

At this showcase, we hope to encourage discussion, develop new links and foster future collaboration.

This event will take place at Royal Holloway's Egham Campus.
