Local community engagement

The COP26 Forum at Royal Holloway, University of London recognises the place of the College and its grounds in its local community and ecology.

The Forum provides an opportunity for dialogue between our local community, councils, students and academics.

Surrey councillors Marisa Heath and Chris Neill will be discussing Surrey’s plans to reach Net Zero emissions by 2050 in a student-led panel on Tuesday 2 November at 6.30pm. Come along to this online event to ask questions of your local representatives and find out more about these plans. This is an online panel bookable on Eventbrite.

Local residents are invited into the Royal Holloway campus for Eco Walks around the arboretum and grounds that are being organised by Liz Schafer, Professor of Drama and Theatre Studies. These are taking place on the weekends of 30-31 October, 6-7 November and 13-14 November. Find out about a variety of sites of historic and environmental interest. Please email the organiser to book

If you are a teacher or school student, you are also welcome to join in our open events. We are keen to develop our work with local schools further around the theme of Living Sustainably. Please email COP26Forum@rhul.ac.uk
