Christiian Marriot

Christiian is a Partner at Equistone, a mid-market private equity firm that invests in a range of sectors across Europe. As Head of Investor Relations he is responsible for Equistone’s fundraising operations and oversees the IR and Marketing team. He serves on Equistone’s Management Board, ESG Committee and Valuation Committee.

Having been involved in the closing of Equistone’s third fund in 2007, he has subsequently led the fundraising for Equistone’s last four investment vehicles: Fund IV (closed at €1.5bn in 2013), Fund V (closed at €2bn in 2015), Fund VI (closed at €2.8bn in 2018) and Equistone Reinvestment Fund (closed at €150m in 2021), as well as playing a role in Equistone’s own MBO from its former parent Barclays Bank in 2011. Prior to joining Equistone in 2007 Christiian was IR Director at MML Capital and an executive at Campbell Lutyens, a corporate finance boutique. He began his career as a financial journalist before transitioning to a career in finance.

Christiian serves as a member of the Investor Relations Advisory Group of the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (“BVCA”) and is a member of the Advisory Board of the impact investment firm Bridges Fund Management. With a keen interest in education at all levels, Christiian also serves as Chair of Governors at Bishopsgate School in Englefield Green.

He graduated with joint honours in French and History from Royal Holloway University of London in 1992.
