September 2024 saw the start of term, and the start of a whole new academic year, for School of Business and Management academics. Despite the increased demand teaching makes on their time, they still were able to share and explore their research and expertise in the wider world. Here are just some of the highlights.

Removing the ‘creep’ factor

Dr The Khoa Do (Bin), from the School of Business and Management, has been investigating how to improve the relationship between solo customers and service robots in the UK Hospitality Sector.

AI and the Workplace

Covering hot topic of the moment, AI and the workplace. Dr Najmeh Hafezieh continued to be featured in digital titles, sharing her research into how employees view AI – from the threat of AI replacing them to AI being viewed as a valuable tool to enhance productivity.

Dr Najmeh Hafezieh also authored a piece for The Conversation on the many workplaces and countries adopting the so-called "right to disconnect” from work, which was subsequently republished in other digital news sites.
