The International Society for the History of Rhetoric (ISHR): The ISHR promotes the study of both the theory and practice of rhetoric in all periods and languages and the relationship of rhetoric to poetics, literary theory and criticism, philosophy, politics, religion, law and other aspects of the cultural context. The International Society for the History of Rhetoric includes members from thirty countries, and holds biennial congresses in Europe and North America.

Network for Oratory and Politics (Glasgow University): The Network for Oratory and Politics is an interdisciplinary research network on the relationship between oratory and politics. The aim of the Network for Oratory and Politics is to facilitate research into and discussion of political oratory across historical periods and regions in order to broaden up the study of political speech and reach out to non-academic communities. The network aims to connect academics with political practitioners of public speech such as politicians, speech writers and the general public in an exchange of knowledge and ideas.

RHETOR (University of Brasília, Brazil): The Research Group of Ancient Greek Rhetoric and Oratory began its activities in 2009 at the University of Brasília, and obtained accreditation by the CNPq in 2011, under the coordination of Professor Sandra Lúcia Rodrigues da Rocha. RHETOR's research team brings together researchers from several Brazilian universities who develop projects in three main research areas, namely: oratory and critical thinking of literature in antiquity; ancient rhetoric and historiography; and translations and commentaries of Greek texts (oratory and rhetoric) for publication in Portuguese.

CARD (University of the Peloponnese, Greece): The Kalamata Centre for Ancient Rhetoric and Drama is in the Department of Philology at the University of the Peloponnese.
