Royal Holloway University of London is a partner institution of South-East Doctoral Training Arc (SEDarc), a partnership of six leading UK universities funded by the Economic Social Research Council (ESRC). SEDarc provides student-led scholarships each year on a competitive basis.

SEDarc Studentships

Studentships include a stipend and tuition fees for UK and international students for 3.5 years. 2024/25 rates for stipend are £21,237. 

 

How to Apply

Applying for a SEDarc Studentship through the RHUL Economics Department:

  1. You need to apply for admission to the Economics PhD programme by mid-November. Your application and research proposal will be reviewed internally and, if successful, you will be matched with a supervisor with similar research interests.

  2. You will prepare, with the support of your supervisor, an application for SEDarc funding by early January.
