Odile Rimbert - Departmental Language Co-ordinator

Odile Rimbert - Departmental Language Co-ordinator

I am the department’s language coordinator and the director for the Languages for All programme. I also teach Advanced French language to Finalists and Advanced French translation courses on the translation studies pathway.

I am particularly interested in embedding creative writing techniques into language classes and organise workshops and formation days to that effect. I have also contributed to the launch of a Creative Writing in French course when working at the university of St Andrews.

Team building, empowerment, staff development and well-being are also keen interests of mine which I strive to develop through bespoke trainings.

As a linguist and educator, I regularly volunteer in the education and development sectors, taking part in training and development projects for teachers in Nepal and university language tutors in Ukraine.
