Dr Mashuq Kurt has been awarded a British Academy/Leverhulme Small Research Grant

Dr Mashuq Kurt and Dr Barış Öktem (co-applicant) have been awarded a British Academy/Leverhulme Small Research Grant for a project titled “The Roots, Uprootedness and Home Making: The Case of Kurdish Gen Z Refugees in London and Berlin”.

Their project investigates the notions of home-making, intersectional identities, digital relations, and integration of the Kurdish Gen Z refugees in London and Berlin in the context of their experiences of forced migration, asylum-seeking, and community-making in the diasporas. They will conduct focus group interviews in Berlin and London and organize a symposium at Royal Holloway, University of London.
