The symposium focuses on comparative and cross-border issues in bankruptcy and insolvency law in its broadest sense

Royal Holloway, University of London is pleased to announce the hosting of the 5th International and Comparative Law Insolvency Symposium. The Symposium was held at Royal Holloway, University of London.

The symposium is organised by Prof. Adrian Walters (IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law), Prof. Christoph Henkel (Drake University Law School), Prof. Laura Napoli Coordes (Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law), Prof. Yseult Marique (University of Essex) and Dr. Eugenio Vaccari (Royal Holloway, University of London).

The symposium took place on 25-27 April 2024. Delegates and speakers were invited to a formal dinner, which was held on Thursday 25 April in the Victorian Picture Gallery and which included a guest lecture by Emer. Prof. Bob Wessels (Universiteit Leiden) (topic: Going Broke in Rembrandt's Days). We are also honoured to announce that the Hon. Mr Justice Antony Zacaroli agreed to deliver a keynote speech at the symposium on Friday 26 April at 11 am (topic: The Role of the Creditor Majority in Restructuring).
