About the composer
Kate Chan (b. 2000) is a pianist, sound designer and composer. Her musical style is rooted in minimalism while her works are across various genres, from chamber music, orchestra work to soundtrack, poetry music and indie pop music. Kate hopes to connect people’s experiences and to express her own view to the world through music with other media.
Her works featured in a nature documentary, short films – Eleven Days and Selfless Love which has won The Berlinflash Film Festival for September monthly category: super short drama. Also, she is the second place for soundtrack of The Student Workshop Collaborative Film Festival 2020. Recently projects include sound design for a short fiction feature – Spider and indie pop song The Deepest Blue In Your Eyes.
