Elections, Public Opinion and Parties (EPOP) Conference 2018

The annual conference of the Elections, Public Opinion and Parties (EPOP) specialist group will be held at Royal Holloway, University of London from 14-16 September 2018.

The conference is hosted by the Department of Politics and International Relations at Royal Holloway, University of London. 

The Centre is home to a vibrant research community, studying and analysing democracy and elections in different parts of the world, including the UK, Europe, and the USA. The Centre offers a taught Masters in Elections, Campaigns and Democracy and PhD supervision.

The Centre is also home to the journal Electoral Studies, which is edited by Oliver Heath and Kaat Smets.

The whole conference will take place in the magnificent surroundings of Royal Holloway, located in Egham, Surrey – just 40 minutes by train from London city centre and seven miles from London Heathrow Airport. Dinner on Friday evening will be held in the Dining Hall. The conference dinner on Saturday will take place in the famous Picture Gallery.

The timetable for proposals and registration are as follows:

  • Sunday 6 May – Deadline for paper and panel proposals
  • Mid to late May – Paper presenters notified. Draft programme published. Registration opens.
  • Saturday 30 June – Deadline for early bird conference registrations
  • Saturday 28 July – Final deadline for all conference registrations
