Join CRIS for this online workshop where we will cover some basics of post-colonial theory and what decolonising might look like in our field.

15.00: Keynote: Dr Nceku Nyathi, School of Business & Management, Royal Holloway University of London.

‘Introduction to post colonialism and decolonisation lenses: Implications for CSR’ (30 minute lecture & Q&A).

15.45: Choice of breakout sessions with:

Room 1: Dr Judy Muthuri, Nottingham University Business School: ‘Introducing students to new realities: Applying CSR management knowledge indigenous to Africa

Room 2: Professor Laura Spence, School of Business & Management, Royal Holloway University of London: ‘Rethinking how we teach business ethics

Room 3: Dr Lauren McCarthy, School of Business & Management, Royal Holloway University of London: ‘Why that case study might need replacing: White saviourism in CSR education’.

The Centre for Research into Sustainability (CRIS) is a multidisciplinary, international group of researchers and educators at Royal Holloway, University of London, UK. We are actively engaged with the understanding of social/ethical, economic and environmental sustainability in contemporary society.

We understand sustainability in broad terms as relating to economic, social/ethical and environmental perspectives. We do this through research, teaching, and collaboration with external organisations.
