October has been a busy month on campus here at the School of Business and Management. It’s great to see the campus buzzing with excited students embarking on either their first explorations of higher education or returning to pursue their passions and dig deeper into the subjects that really interest them. Alongside teaching, our academics have being involved in the launch of RH2030s - Royal Holloway, University of London’s new strategy to shape our future – while also finding time to continue sharing their expertise and insight with the wider world. Here are some of the highlights for the month:
Royal Holloway, University of London, launches new ‘RH2030s’ strategy
October saw the launch of the new RH2030s strategy for Royal Holloway, University of London - which focuses on shaping the institution as a University of Social Purpose able to respond to global challenges through the enabling of transformative education and research. The new strategy commits the University to being globally engaged, enabling stronger global partnerships, realising the full potential of its alumni network, and amplifying its global reputation.

School of Business and Management academics named on ‘World’s Top 2% Scientists’ lists
Academics from the School of Business and Management were once again listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists for 2024. Compiled by Stanford University, these prestigious lists focus on career-long impact and single-year impact, recognizing exceptional research contributions.

Ongoing interest in Brand British Royal Family
Professor Pauline MacLaran expertise on brand ‘British Royal Family’ continues to be called on by publications around the world. Covering Catherine’s return to public life and the future of the Royal Family in light of Britain's colonial past, to William’s new documentary on homelessness, to Prince Harry and Meghan – from the difficulties of a possible return to why their branding strategy has backfired, Professor MacLaran has been able to add insight on this ever-fascinating topic.
