Applying in 2023-24?

There will be two stages to the application process:

  1. Complete the short form here (link embedded), and;
  2. Upload two files to our secure online folder (link embedded) containing you performing a prepared piece and a short orchestral excerpt

After you have submitted your short form, applicants will be asked to perform and record 3-5 minutes of a work of their choice (unaccompanied) and will be asked to also prepare and record a short orchestral excerpt.

Applicants should prepare, record and upload one orchestral excerpt selected from the list below (scroll through to find your instrument and choose one). Orchestral Scholars are asked to prepare, record and upload two orchestral excerpts:

Strings

Woodwind

Brass

Percussion

Piano

About the recordings and uploading 

Recordings should be both audio and visual, should be of good but not of professional quality (i.e. your mobile phone or tablet would work perfectly). Each file uploaded to the shared/online folder should be clearly labelled as such: Full Name - Prepared Piece, or Full Name - Orchestral Excerpt
